It depends on your style of ice fishing. Each type of automatic jigger
has it’s own distinct advantageous features. The wind activated
jiggers (Jiggle-Lure™
Model F and Model F2, and Bucket
Wind Jigger™) are the easiest to use and require the least expertise and
attention, however they are dependent on the wind for operation.
Jiggle-Lure™ Model F2 is basically a smaller version of Model F.
The
motor operated Jiggle-Lure™
Model M is great for attracting the fish, but the fish are so
inquisitive about the action they sometimes just school up and sit there
and stare at the jig action. As soon as you stop the action they attack.
The wind activated jiggers stop on their own when the wind subsides, and
therefore need less direct attention to operate.
